In her 21+ years of pharmaceutical research experience, Karla Denney has worked in academic, hospital, CRO, and Industry settings and held various leadership roles focused on Clinical Development, Operations, Vendor Management, and Study Start-up. 

 In her current role as the Head of the Investigator Contracts, Benchmarking and Payments within GlaxoSmithKline Pharma R&D, Karla developed a functional outsourcing model and leads an internal team who are focused on defining processes and overseeing the delivery of services related to site payments, site budget benchmarking/fair market value analysis, and the development and negotiation of clinical trial agreements and budgets.     

 She is passionate about identifying opportunities for process improvement and leading strategic business solutions, especially those focused on reducing or removing key barriers to rapid study start-up.
